1. General Information
Owner: Individual Developer (to be replaced with a legal entity in the future).
Brand name: AlcoBalance
Age restriction: 18+ or 21+, depending on the user's local law. You confirm that you have answered this honestly.
2. User Accounts & Authorization
2.1 Anonymous Accounts (default)
The App can be used without registration. By default, when you launch the App, we create an anonymous account on our servers and assign it a unique identifier (UUID) generated by us. This identifier is stored in the App's local storage on your device.
- We do not use device identifiers, advertising IDs, or hardware fingerprints. The account is identified solely by the UUID we generate.
- The identifier persists on your device until you uninstall the App or clear its local data. Once removed, access to that anonymous account cannot be recovered.
- Anonymous accounts can collect, view, and store the same consumption and profile data as authorized accounts, but the data is bound to the device until you choose to authorize.
2.2 Authorized Accounts (optional)
You may optionally upgrade your account by signing in. Supported authorization methods:
- Email + one-time password (OTP). The OTP is valid for a limited time and can only be used once.
- Sign in with Apple.
- Sign in with Google.
For authorized accounts, the email address (or the email provided by the social provider) is stored to maintain the account and data history.
2.3 Account Retention
Inactive accounts are deleted along with associated personal data according to the following schedule:
- Anonymous accounts, never made a purchase — deleted after thirty (30) days of inactivity.
- Anonymous accounts with at least one purchase — deleted after three (3) years of inactivity.
- Authorized accounts, never made a purchase — deleted after one (1) year of inactivity.
- Authorized accounts with at least one purchase — deleted after three (3) years of inactivity.
"Inactivity" means no recorded use of the App during the period. Accounts may be deleted earlier upon the user's request.
3. Collected Data
The App collects the following personal data provided by the user:
- Age (numeric)
- Gender
- Weight
- Activity level (low / medium / high / athlete)
- Time zone
The App records consumption history, including:
- Date and time
- Type of drink
- Drink name
- Volume
- Alcohol percentage
- Food intake marker (yes/no, type of food)
This section may be expanded in future versions of the App to reflect additional data categories.
4. Forecast & Analytics
- The App calculates approximate blood alcohol concentration (BAC), peak BAC time, and sobering time.
- Forecast values may be stored both on the user's device and on servers to improve functionality and analytics.
- Aggregated and anonymized analytics may be retained even after account deletion to maintain system integrity.
5. Disclaimer of Liability
The App is not a medical device. Forecasts are based on mathematical formulas and average values (for example, 0.15‰ alcohol metabolism per hour). User-provided information may refine these values but does not constitute laboratory analysis.
The App must not be used to determine legal or medical fitness for driving, working, or other activities regulated by law. The Developer is not responsible for discrepancies between App forecasts and laboratory results, nor for legal, medical, or personal consequences resulting from reliance on the App.
User Responsibility & Health Disclaimer. By using the App, you acknowledge and agree that: (a) you have no medical contraindications that would make alcohol consumption dangerous to your health, or you accept full personal responsibility for monitoring your condition if such contraindications exist; (b) the App is based on averaged population data and provides limited personalization — it does not account for individual health conditions, chronic diseases, medications, or other personal factors; (c) only you are responsible for monitoring your physical condition and making decisions regarding alcohol consumption; (d) the App does not replace professional medical advice, and you should consult a healthcare professional if you have any health concerns related to alcohol use.
